The gift at the museum
Awesome Secret Agent Jared gifted people their admission at museums, asking only that they email him later about their favorite exhibit. Here is one from an ESL teacher, brand spankin' new to New York, who went to the Brooklyn Museum on Jared's dime:
...thank you so much! And I promise to come up with something good to pay this good deed forward. But first and foremost I wanted to say thanks, gracias, merci, danke, arigato. Now, for my assignment: I have to say I LOVED the Norman Rockwell exhibit. Maybe I am feeling nostalgic (I teared up a few times). I think of going through boxes of old Saturday Evening Posts with my parents. I love the stories that the pictures tell.
And another from an older gentleman who was waiting in line at the Jewish Museum with his wife:
The Houdini exhibit was definitely our favorite. I have been intrigued by Harry Houdini since my own childhood (in the fifties). He was truly an amazing person and one of the greatest escape artists of all times. All the best in 2011. Maybe you'll find other opportunities in the coming year to bring pleasant surprises to people. I will never forget the experience you gave my wife and me. Thanks again.
