The San Francisco chapter of the Secret Society for Creative Philanthropy, founded in 2010, is known for being left coast swanky. Members include social entrepreneurs, ethnomusicologists, and foodies (the non-snobby kind). Expect to see a lot of bikes and black-rimmed glasses at these chapter meetings in the coming years. Earnestness abounds.
Across the city of San Francisco, in the deep fog of January, a series of events have been set into motion. In bars, coffee shops, restaurants, offices and homes, there’s been a changing of the guard. Crisp one hundred dollar bills have been slid across tables and counters with the same message:
...“With this hundred dollar bill, you are hereby inducted into
the Secret Society for Creative Philanthropy”...

SSCP takes Germany by storm with a write-up in the Financial Times Deutschland, titled "Gutes Geld," thanks to writer and photographer Karsten Lemm.
SSCP-SF earned a solid write-up in the February 26 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle.
