SSCP-SF Launch, February 19
Join 10 creative philanthropists--a chef, an architect, two designers, a social networker, a paramedic, a salsa-dancing ethnomusicologist, plus many friends--for the launch of the San Francisco Chapter of the SSCP on Friday, February 19, 7-10pm. The festivities will take place at the national headquarters of nonprofit Public Architecture, located at 1211 Folsom Street, 4th Floor (above), at the corner of 8th & Folsom in SF's infamous leather district, South of Market.
There's already a buzz building about the launch, starting with this Pop Culture Activist blog post.

The 161 Street Writing Group
Check out the latest from the 161 Street Writing Group, founded in 2009 by Agent Mackert. This year Agent Mackert passed on a hundo to his two writing partners, Enry and Eric.
Thank You Secret Agents
Last night was a racuous success at Underwater Lounge, as 16 new Agents were officially inducted into the Secret Society for Creative Philanthropy. In this year's diverse giving experiments, strangers' kindnesses were validated, children were empowered, the famous Paul Farmer was emboldened, artist friends were legitimized, and pennies were strewn nationally, among much else.
Stay tuned as our givers login to share their stories in this new digital home.
Thanks to everyone who came out, listened up, and danced their asses off.
New Site for Big-Hearted Surfers
Welcome to the new online home for the Secret Society for Creative Philanthropy. Though the economy has constricted, our community has expanded. As such, we thought it was high time that we stopped effing around with that sorry-excuse-for-a-blog and created a real, honest-to-goodness website to call our very own.
The kind and well-dressed people at WORKSHOP decided to help us out on this front. If you looked up the word creativekindgenius in the dictionary, you've be sure to find pictures of Agents 0079, 0880, and 5555 standing there with big grins on their faces.

WORKSHOP donated the design. Now it's your job to donate the content. We'd love to hear from Agents new and old about their experiences of creative philanthropy and musings on generosity. Chapter gossip is not only condoned, it's encourage--as long as it's favorable. All words are tax deductible.

New Agent Just in Time
Agent 0079 taps long-time associate Loretta Rae as the newest member of the SSCP. Ms. Rae will have a mere three days to plan and complete a mission with the $100 given to her today. What did she have to say?
"I have a lot of ideas."
We are certain you do Ms. Rae. We will see you in DUMBO at the New York Chapter's Annual Meeting on Saturday. We eagerly await welcoming you to the ranks of the creatively philanthropic. And dancing the night away with you at the after party! For information on the event, please contact us.
